Drying herbs is an excellent way to get the benefits of the herb outside of the herbs growing season.
There are several ways that you can preserve herbs for “out of season”use.
You can dry them by hanging them, in bunches in a dry place or you can us a dehydrator.
Ensure that the herbs are thoroughly dry before you store them as any residual moisture can result in mould and ruin the crop. They are best stored in glass as you can see the herbs and watch for any unwanted moisture.
Some herbs can be chopped up and frozen also.
